About

Hi, I'm Eric Taggart

I have provided thousands of hours of counseling and support to adults, adolescents, and families over the past 11+ years. I love the work I do, and I would be happy to speak with you regarding any questions you may have about my counseling services.

I work actively and collaboratively with my clients to understand the meaning of symptoms and to address the underlying cause of distress. I specialize in life transitions such as early adulthood, parenthood, career change, marriage, divorce, and retirement. I successfully treat individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, chronic pain, grief, gender identity concerns, spiritual/religious issues, psychosis, and various other challenges. I have a particular interest in the psychology of creativity and enjoy working with artists.

If you're reading this, it is likely you're in need of change. There will be aspects of that change both easier and more difficult than you imagine, yet I can assure you the work is worth the results.

Humans are fundamentally relational beings, and in order to feel fully alive we must be deeply connected to ourself and others. When either of these connections becomes unduly exaggerated or impaired, our sense of hope and meaning begins to suffer. It becomes easy to lose our bearings and find ourselves repeating the past and fearing the future. Fortunately, we can reestablish connection to our deep self and repair our relation to others and the greater world.
